5 Tips for Your Pawn Shop’s Facebook Page Profile

1. Use Your Logo as the Profile Photo

Your logo should be easy to see and recognizable as the profile photo for your page. If it consists of a bunch of text or it’s a photo of your face, you’re not doing many favors for brand recognition. Keep in mind this photo appears much smaller when it’s next to your posts, so it’s best to use an icon that represents your brand name.

2. Communicate Your “Brand” with a Quality Cover Photo

Whether it’s a photo of your friendly, approachable staff, or a photo that shows off how professional the display is inside your shop, your cover photo should communicate something positive about your brand. Take the time to get a clear photo of something that sets your pawn shop apart from others.

3. Create an Effective “About” Section

In the “About” section of your profile, communicate the services you offer at your pawn shop, as well as the types of items you buy and sell. Don’t forget to include what sets your shop apart from other pawn shops in the local area! For example, do you offer discounts to veterans or those in active duty military? Talk about it!

4. Provide Accurate Contact Info & Hours

It might be hard to believe, but customers will often visit a shop’s Facebook page instead of their website in order to get information such as opening hours and contact information. These sections should be filled out so that customers can easily contact your shop with questions and visit during the appropriate business hours.

5. Encourage Check-Ins & Reviews

You want customers to leave reviews of your shop so that you can earn the trust of other customers through social proof. Reviews are also a great resource for gathering feedback and testimonials to improve your shop and enhance your marketing. Make sure Reviews are enabled in your page’s settings.

Incentivize customers in your shop to follow your Facebook page and check in. For instance, you could place a small sign at your counter that communicates you will give them a small discount if they show you they checked in.
