February 22, 2020 - Pawn Resources
After a little over a year in this business, I’ve discovered that many of our potential clients don’t know many valuable items sit around their homes, unused. To tell you the truth, I didn’t realize I had many valuable items that I could sell or pawn laying around.
A few weeks ago, I started my spring cleaning. I came across an old first-gen iPad – one I’d used for business before I gave it to my kids a couple years ago. I’d forgotten about it entirely. They, having received an Android tablet from grandma last Chanukah, seemed to as well.
I was excited! For the first time, I was going to sell my own item on PawnGuru. I thought I would at least get $80, but to my surprise, I got an offer for $120. It was a nice bonus to get for the dreaded work of spring cleaning :).
We’ve helped people pawn everything from rare jewelry to Jordan’s, from purses to Porsches. Even small things can get results. Just the other day, a Ray-Ban leather case was submitted to PawnGuru. I thought to myself, “There is no way this thing is getting any offers.” A couple hours later, to my surprise, the Ray-Ban case got an offer for $5. I couldn’t believe it! When I bet against an item, I seem to lose.
The next time you decide to do spring cleaning, need quick cash, or a loan, I’d encourage you to look around your home to find out what items you can sell. Getting quick and hard cash on items you think have no value is better than tossing it away or just letting it remain to collect dust.
