What You Can Easily Sell or Pawn for Cash

February 06, 2020 - Pawn Resources

If you need some quick cash, pawning or selling something is the way to go.

Selling or pawning is a great way to get quick cash for things you don’t need anymore. In fact, pawn shops and other used-good sales are a $2 billion industry. That’s a lot of money changing hands and if you’ve got the right items, you can get in on it!

We’ve written before about some items that are easy to sell or pawn, and ways to do it. In this article, we’ve got even more suggestions for things that are easy to sell or pawn for quick cash.

1. Watches

Watches are generally accepted by pawn shops. However, many will only be willing to pay for bigger brands such as Rolex or Omega.

Depending on the quality and brand of your watch, you can pawn or sell it. Even if the watch isn’t an expensive brand, many pawn shops or buyers will offer a decent amount for a nice watch.

2. Collectible Coins

If you’ve got an old coin collection, you could be sitting on a money-maker. Certain pawn shops and collectors are willing to pay decent money for certain coins.

They don’t have to be super rare to be worth something. Silver dollars or half dollars, for example, are easy to sell for quick cash.

It’s not just coins! Rare paper money can also be interesting to collectors.

3. Electronics

You’ve probably got a bunch of electronics around the house. In fact, the average American household has 24 electronic products. You probably don’t even use many of these.

The bigger ticket items are smartphones, computers, and tablets, but there are more options you might not have thought of.

Old televisions, computer monitors, and old game systems such as Playstations or XBoxes can all be sold easily at most pawn shops. Some pawn shops will even take items such as printers, video games, and DVDs.

Electronics lose their value quickly, so don’t expect big payouts for these items, especially if they are very old. Still, they are a good source of quick cash, especially if you don’t use them anymore.

4. Kitchen Appliances

Certain kitchen appliances can go over well at the pawn shop. Things such as a Kitchenaid stand mixer are popular, and the models aren’t frequently upgraded. This means, even if the model is a few years old, the value won’t drop as sharply as a television’s.

Brands like Kitchenaid and Bosch are more sought after, so you’ll have better luck selling them for cash.

5. Digital Cameras

Depending on the quality of your camera, it can be a good source of cash.

Less expensive “point and shoot” varieties probably won’t get you very much, but many pawn shops will still give you something for them. But if you have a DSLR and any extra camera lenses, you can get a good deal more.

Nikon, Canon, and Olympus are very popular brands. These are more likely to be sold.

DSLR cameras are quite expensive to buy new, and even if they are older many are still sought after. This makes them a good choice for pawn shops.
