What is PawnFriday?

PawnFriday is a day where pawn shops across the US band together to draw customers into their stores with great deals on everything from jewelry to power tools. It takes place on October 27, 2017, which is the inaugural celebration of this special shopping day.

You might be wondering how this event was founded. At PawnGuru, we wanted to dedicate a day to pawn shops and the unique shopping experience they present to holiday shoppers.

While other days have been established for brick-and-mortar and e-commerce shops (e.g. Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Prime Day, Singles Day), we wanted pawn shops to have their own piece of the holiday shopping pie.

The goals of PawnFriday include helping pawn shops gain more foot traffic and generating community awareness about the unique holiday shopping experience that pawn shops offer.

From great deals on unique gifts, to that treasure-hunting experience, there is much to tout about in the way of shopping locally via pawn shops.

How Your Pawn Shop Benefits from PawnFriday

Marketing Opportunities

When you sign up to participate in PawnFriday, your shop’s PawnFriday offers are included on the official PawnFriday web page. This means that local consumers that are searching for deals will be presented with your offers.

This is additional exposure for your pawn shop and will present an opportunity to get new customers and repeat customers.

PawnFriday is also another excuse to post on your social media, send a newsletter to current customers, or get generally “up” your marketing game for your shop.

If you haven’t done anything to improve your marketing this year, let PawnFriday be the start of a prosperous season!

Early Holiday Shopping Revenue

When you participate in PawnFriday, you benefit from an early holiday shopping rush. Since PawnFriday is on October 27th, you’re earning revenue well before the traditional Black Friday promotions kick in.

This puts you at an advantage to earn customer’s business before they give it to big box retailers or even other pawn shops that don’t participate in PawnFriday.

Free PR

PawnFriday will earn media coverage. When people in your local community hear about it, they’re going to be more likely to enter your pawn shop. This includes people who normally wouldn’t enter a pawn shop due to lack of understanding or awareness.

More Customers for the Long Term

With the combination of free PR and the great deals you offer on PawnFriday, you are improving your chances at earning more customers for the long term. You’re giving existing customers a reason to visit your shop again, and you’re giving new customers a great reason to try a pawn shop for the first time.

This is a joke, right? Pawn Friday, I mean. I entered stuff a while back. Never could find it to edit, don’t have time to waste redoing it. Today I decide to try since I have a HUGE sale going on and it just says to log in to “create Form” or some such crap. This whole thing has been annoying, a hassle and to set it at the nd of a month when people are broke is a lack of forthought.
I have been faithfully responding to people. I’ve made a couple deals via PawnGuru and I will continue to try but this has been a frustrating afternoon with Guru. First tried to login to pawnguru on new computer. wouldn’t accept ANY of what are my usual passwords so I go to my work computer and go to pawnguru and look at my account so i can get the password. NOWHERE can I find the password or any way to change it…. If you can’t tell, I am quire riled up, pissed would be the proper term.

Again, I will keep trying to gain business from you for now but I hope you think out things like this sale better and can you simply tell me if I can change my own password from my own account. Thanks, Dug

P.S. Sure wish I could update my Pawn Friday Sale info. Got some great deals happening… Oh well.

It’s interesting how you said that local pawn shops could benefit in large pawning “holidays” like PawnFriday. That would be helpful because you could get a larger amount of revenue and good items before the holiday rush. This would mean more stuff to sell and more money to use to buy and improve what you have.

That is interesting that a pawn shop would have deals on jewelry. That sounds like something I would want to look into. Maybe I should take my wife to a pawn shop and see if we can exchange some jewelry.
